Results from the PET of Wednesday
unfortunately, Wednesday was not a day for good news. Kaye and I had expected to hear the All CLear comment from my oncologist Jeff Crane but instead he had the sad duty of telling me that I have some spots that are still present even after the Stem Cell transplant. It is the same original spots that have already been there so we are not dealing with a new outbreak or location. Jeff has suggested we radiate those spots and we have since visisted the radiologist who is very confident he can radiate those spots away and then we will wait and see what happens from there. I am confident that once gone we will be rid of this disease and I can put my life back together as it was coming back together since the stem cell transplant. People ask me about the transplant and I just try to tell them that it is a grueling, grinding procedure that when it is past you, you feel more blessed to be past it than when you were going through it.'
Kaye and I are dealing with this news as we have all the bad news we have had over the last two years. We are trusting in God and believing in his miracle that he has already extended to me as I am still alive and functioning almost 2 years after diagnosis. Your prayers and well wishes have been so wonderful to me and Kaye and we thank you all for not forgetting us and for being there for prayers and support. The radiation will take about 10 minutes per day 5 days a week for 4 weeks and then we go 3 months and have another PET Scan so there is a pretty long time line to doing all this but the end result will be a glad time.
Will keep you posted as we get into radiation and what effects it has on me.
God Bless you all
Tim
