Itis Day -3 and i am doing okay
we came into UNC Hospital on thursday and started the chemotherapy regimine that after noon which they call day -6 I am now in day -3. At Day 0 I have the infusion of stem cells and then it is wait and see until they graft back into my bone marrow. That will take about 10 days. From that time my immune system will be at 0 so infection is a great risk. All my vital signs are good and I am trying so very hard to be a good patient and do the right things. Kaye is so much help to me as she never leaves my side during the night. I appreciate her dedication. As you might have heard my friend Paula Parker lost her battle with cancer this week and I am thinking of her and her family at this time. From everything we have been told I have some rough days ahead but God is good and has been good to me through out this entire process. I know I am on every prayer list from here to TimBuktoo! and I appreciate everyone of them. God has his timetable and I am trying to follow it and be the servant he needs to help others if is his will. Continue to pray for me and Judy Orrell and Judy Harmon as we move forward in this process.
