Step 2 in my miracle of healing and understanding God
Today is Sunday and I will give you a brief recap of our week just to hopefully wrap it up at the end with yet another lesson from God to me. Last Sunday I started 2 injections a day of Neupogen to build white blood cells in advance of harvesting stem cells this next week. Kaye has been so strong in giving me these injections. We have alternated from stomach to arms and while they have not been any source of pain for me they have been very troubling for Kaye as she is not a nurse and not emotionally equipped to handle giving her husband an injection twice a day. Anyone, diabetics or otherwise who takes daily injections has to be some of the strongest people on earth and God is with them I know because just these 8 days have been really hard on Kaye and uncomfortable for me. Again God has linked caregiver and spouse so closely together for us that I cannot help but be blessed.
Secondly today starts our transition to Chapel Hill for the next 8 weeks. How has God had a hand in this. Well I cannot help but wonder how everyone manages when there is a sudden emergency that takes you away from the home for an extended period of time. God has allowed Kaye to pack and plan every step in the process. Kaye has planned our stay, packed our clothes, discontinued the services we don't need, forwarded our mail, and got the boys situated. God has surely blessed with time to plan for our journey.
Thirdly, Today I was watching Kingdom Connection that is a TV program from Jentzen Franklin who as you might know, was someone we went to church with in Gastonia. His dad married me and Kaye and he sang in our wedding. His message this morning was electric. The thought suddenly came to me that I used to wonder about the effectivness of TV evangilism to shut-ins but since I have been on "house arrest" for the past two weeks, I could not go to church and so I was limited to watching on TV. Boy did God show me some things. I am not saying stop going to your local church and tune in each week cause I believe the Devil will use that against you if you are able enough to go to church. His message inspired me as he talked about how when your life gets turbulent focus on the word time after time and it will reveal itself to you. He said a pilot friend told him that when flying in bad weather your sight and equalibrium are impaired so you must fly by the instruments. He said the friend said "when nature rages you must fly by the gauges!" Jentzen said it was true for us when things get rough for us we must focus on the word and it will see us through not our sight but our faith.
I will try to keep you updated as we go through this process of Stem Cell
God Bless you all
Tim
