UNC Doctors Visit and results

Yesterday was day 63 post infusion and I had a visit scheduled for Dr. Gabriel over in Chapel Hill. Kaye and I drove over and made the appointment. Dr. Gabriel examined me and found no outward appearance of any swollen lymph nodes and said my blood worked looked very good. He said that barring anything showing up on my PET Scan in February (and he did not expect to see anything show up) he would see me again in 3 months and if all is well then 3 months afterwards and then 6 months afterwards. Isn't God great?! I have longed to hear them talk in terms of not expecting to see anything show up. Dr. Crane as much as told me the same when I went to see him. God works at a time and pace that we are not privy to yet at the end of our situations we see the hand of God and how he worked, how things fell into place in ways that could not be done if we were to be in charge of the situation. Kaye and I are well into the second year of my illness and believe me, we have been through many things and emotions that if God were not in charge we would have collapsed. As I sit and ponder today I go through the thoughts of what does God want me to do to honor him and his healing. In the last 2 years I have lost 3 friends to cancer and seen 1 young student that went to school with Matt, lose her battle. I see race car legends Benny Parsons and Bobby Hamilton lose their battles and I wonder and am thankful that God has spared me for another purpose. I am a willing soul who wants to do what I can to glorify God and show he is still in the healing and miracle business. I am expecting an answer soon. On the family front, my son Ryan got a letter of admittance from East Carolina University yesterday. Even though that is not where he wants to go to college, at least he has options. He is waiting on UNC Wilmington to decide on him which will be in April. He has applied to NC State as well but his first choice is UNC Wilmington. Matt is doing well at school I spoke to him a couple of times this week. He is such a resourceful person, he has purchased a couple of his text books on EBAY at half the price of the bookstore on campus. Matt knows how to watch his money and that will only help him later in life. Kaye is back at work and is very busy. I am working and taking phone calls as I slowly getting back into the rigors of living. Please continue to hold me in your prayers. Please continue to pray for Judy Harmon as she begins Chemotherapy next week for some tumors that have appeared in her. This is her 4th time battling cancer and I for one believe God is about to do his masterful work again!
