Radiation, sounds scary but so is cancer

I have had a few days to let the words radiation sink in and even though it sounds scary it doesn't not resonate as loudly as the words cancer. Kaye and I have been living (along with you my dear friends) with the spector of cancer over our shoulders every day. However, life goes on for each of us and we are mindful of that. Just this week we have had family members in car accidents, and family members have interna strife, and a dear friend of ours has a sister in law who has pneumonia and a 10% chance to survive so we are not the only ones in the world struggling with something. As a matter of fact if you are not struggling with something in your life praise God for his shelter and good fortune toward you. Sure I sit and wonder about my latest news and I wonder aloud is this God's will for me and if so what purpose do I serve in going through every treatment known. I have had chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, and now radiation. I surely can tell you about each but then again so can so many other people. My testimony will be through it all, never lose sight of God and his glory. We have friends who are in prison and live in an 8 by 8 cubicle, to me that is worse than any disease and my heart and prayers go out to them. We have friends and family who stuggle with drugs and to me that is worse than any disease. We believers know God is a God of Love and forgiveness and through all our battles we must stay focused on that, God loves us, God forgives us, we live because of him. So I will live each day that God gives me and never lose sight of what is right and just.

God bless you all
Tim

Tim......... Hello from Gastonia! This is Ralph & Karen Rhyne. Ralph went to school with you and I grew up with Beth! We are old Myrtle School / Ashley / Huss grads. We ran into Beth at Hillbilly's a while ago & she told us about your struggles. I haven't seen Beth in awhile, but I've recently been in contact with Netta Mulkey and she gave me this latest update. Ralph told me to email you & say HELLO, and let you know that we are keeping you in our thoughts & prayers. We'll keep in touch, now that we know how. Keep up the good thoughts & know that if we can do anything to help, just let us know.
