GOD continues to keep me on a positive track
The call today from the Chapel Hill doctors was another sign that God has moved in my behalf. After a year of dissapointmenting news, we have now received two good reports, first the remission starting in September and now, my bone marrow is good enough to use for my stem cell and my other tests done last week are good (heart, lungs and blood work) The hospital is still working out details with my insurance company but I am told it should be resolved in a couple of days.
I will be going in next Wednesday for the central line catheter and chemotherapy on Thurs and Friday. But for now the relief is that my bone marrow is good and there is no cancer cells in it. God has once again shown his hand in how he is leading this miracle.
I have given a lot of thought to the last year and in another post I hope to give some reflections and tell how much I have learned this year about myself and about how I feel the need to live out my life. I am not saying everyone has to follow what I feel the need to do but I can tell you when you are looking at what you have done and what you could do with your talents and your abilities, it becomes very clear that we can never do enough to help our fellow person. I once read in a leadership book that true leaders are those that serve others needs. I had never thought of it this way but it is true. If you look at religious leader, community leaders, business leaders, or anyone with a title that denotes leader, it is one who serves not one who delegates or manages.
Keep me in your prayers as I do you.

Tim, as we discussed, March 15 is the date I look forward to your coming back in the office. You and your family will be in my prayers daily. I miss you already. Gayle
