Just a quick pop on to let you know I am still kicking
Today is Friday June 1 and my baby Ryan graduates tonight so we are all giddy with excitement for him as this is a major accomplishment these days to be able to navigate the school system and come out ready to move on with your life. There has been a change in his career plan. He was accepted late at NC State and has now elected to go there at least for one semester and then decide on whether to transfer to UNC Wilmington or not. I will keep you posted on what he decides.
I finished my radiation on May 8 th and on the 9th Kaye and I went to Philadelphia for a business trip. We spent the weekend in Atlantic City but I was so fatigued I could not really do a lot. Kaye did her best to make me comfortable and we enjoyed time together just sleeping. When I returned I was not getting any better and the fatigue was enormous so on Memorial Day Kaye called Dr. Crane and he ordered a CAT Scan and low and behold I was having a reaction to the radiation that affects your lungs. He prescribed some medicine and boy has that made a difference. I feel much better and the fatigue is going away.
BIG DAY ON MONDAY. It is my oldest son's 20th Birthday and I get my first PET SCAN since my radiation started. Pray for me that it shows progress against this disease! I am spending the weekend enjoying Ryans Day and also thanking God for his many blessings for my family. I think of others who are not here to enjoy family and I remember how blessed I am.
We are confident that God has everything under control. I will post the results as soon as I can on Monday.
Take care for now
God Bless you All
