just quick update
Well, I had another treatment yesterday after a 2 week layoff. Man it felt so good to be off of the Chemotherapy for two weeks. The fatigue is the most difficult to overcome. I will have my 4th installment of this chemotherapy next Thursday and then it is time for scans and a progress report. Until the doctor interprets the scans, it is a day at a time which is what Kaye and I have learned to live with. I have had the very good pleasure of spending a lot of time with Kaye and I really have seen where we are a good match (not that I doubted it of course, sometimes you just don't stop long enough to really appreciate someone) She is so caring and so intensely dedicated to getting me better. I am amazed at her energy and tenacity at getting me better.
Matt left for East Carolina University today. Kaye and I will miss him as we did this time last year. He and Ryan are our two greatest accomplishments. I was in his room today and I looked back and said oh my gosh where did the time go. I remember them as 10 and 12 year olds and then Wham they are both driving cars and going out with friends and going off to college. Oh my where did the time go.
Kaye and I will continue to get me on the upswing and with God's blessings get this year off to a better start. It was on August 13th that I received the results of my first scan and it was September that I started my first Chemotherapy so now we are proceeding into year 2 with enthusiasm and faith.
God bless you all

I was laughing to myself when I read this because I came across some pictures of the boys when they were little. Thank God they grew up to be normal, responsible, intelligent, multi-talented young men and were not scarred for life from those velvet outfits with the big white collars! Hee Hee Hee!
I love you all very much!
I am so proud of the way you and Kaye have raised Matt & Ryan. I am thankful for the way you & Kaye have always been there for each other. I know this has been a very tough year, but God is going to give both of you that extra strenght you need.I love you all witrh all of my heart.
